BPL town Planning and Conservation Ltd is a relatively new company specifically set up to provide specialist advice to Local Authority planning departments. There is an increasing need for specialist technical assistance, including not only conservation and amenity issues but also recording of structures of architectural significance, preparation of reports on the built environment with specific objectives and polices aimed at the retention, refurbishment and reuse of structures both within County Councils record of Protected structures and not included. BPL Town Planning and Conservation Ltd makes these skills easily available as and when required exclusively to Local Authorities.

Given its dedication to public sector clients, BPL Town Planning and Conservation Ltd. has established a strong working relationship with planning authorities and statutory bodies throughout the State. We believe that this diverse range of experience, combined with range of specialist skills at our disposal, allows us to provide these clients with an efficient and flexible service.

Our wider network of associated consultants, embracing a wide range of disciplines, is called upon as required, on a project specific basis. This flexibility in reflected in the operation of the company whereby, uniquely to our knowledge a small core of staff co-ordinate the involvement of wide-range of consultants, brought together on specific projects on a project-by-project basis. In this way, we ensure that specific skills and knowledge are available to each project with our Clients retaining a single point of contact with the project team.

Brendan P Lynch is the Managing Director BPL Town Planning and Conservation Ltd. Brendan is a qualified town Planner, architectural conservation expert and architectural historian and artist. He is uniquely qualified to provide integral, comprehensive and practical visions for improving the quality of architectural significant structures within both an urban and rural setting. He has widespread experience in the recording of architectural structures in the field and his most recent work for Fingal County Council is outlined within this report.

Brendan has worked closely with numerous Councils on a variety of planning policy documents including a variety of local planning documents including Local Area Plans, Surveying of architecturally significant structures for inclusion within Local Authorities Record of Protected Structures (RPS) Town Conservation Reports and County plans in relation to specific objectives and polices to encourage and promote the retention and reuse of historic structures.

Professional Indemnity Insurance

Brendan P Lynch currently holds Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of €6,500,000. This policy can be extended as required.
